Bacalar Properties real estate was founded by Steven Sohrakoff, originally from Oregon, and Nick Hunter, originally from London. Steven moved to the Bacalar area in 1998 and a few years later ran into Nick while both were living and working nearby on the Costa Maya. Similar interests in diving, fishing, and travel helped build a solid friendship. After years of experience working in real estate in Mexico, Steven and Nick decided to create Bacalar Properties and differentiate from the competition by actually living and operating out of Bacalar, and by offering an unrivalled level of local knowledge, customer service, and professionalism.
