Bacalar Properties was founded by Steven Sohrakoff, orginally from Oregon, and Nick Hunter, orginally from London.  Steven moved to the Costa Maya in 1998 and a few years later ran into Nick in Mahahual while both were living and working on the Costa Maya.  Similar interests in diving, fishing, and travel helped build a solid friendship.  After years of experience working in real estate in Mexico, Steven and Nick decided to create Bacalar Properties and differentiate from the competition by offering an unrivalled level of local knowledge, customer service, and professionalism.
